Marvin’s Room

Marvin’s Room is a mordantly funny comedy/drama about two estranged sisters who reluctantly reunite in the face of a looming crisis. Bessie, who takes care of her ailing dad and disabled aunt in Florida, finds out she has leukemia. Her only hope is a bone marrow transplant. She reluctantly contacts her estranged sister, Lee, to see if she and her two teenaged kids will get tested for a bone marrow match. Lee and her kids travel from Ohio to Florida to get tested and to attempt some kind of reconciliation.
