Civic Open 2008

The Ann Arbor Civic Theatre announced the finals for a new vocal competition for musical theatre style performers. The 10 best men and 10 best women from the try-out round showcased their talents at Ann Arbor's venerable Firefly Club on Wednesday, October 22 at 8pm. First place men and women won $200 each. A prize of $50 was awarded to second place. All songs performed were written for theatrical productions. The finals featured local celebrity judges, including Bart Bund from Ann Arbor's Blackbird Theater, Russ Collins from the Michigan Theater and local singing legends the Chenille Sisters.
